Default Persistent Store Locations

When Persistent Store Support mode is set to either Optional or Mandatory, licenses are persisted in the registry. It is possible to programmatically control the registry location via Global Customizations.

Modes

When using the default Persistent Store Support, the following repository locations within the Registry are supported:

LegacyRegistry

32 bit editions of Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\SLP Services 

64 bit editions of Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\SLP Services

This is the default registry location.

Registry

32 bit editions of Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\InishTech\SLP Services 

64 bit editions of Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\InishTech\SLP Services 

UserProfile

In both 32 bit and 64 bit editions of Windows: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\InishTech\SLP Services

This location is used for ClickOnce applications.
