To avail of the SpAgent Runtime features/fixes included in this release you will need to update your current permutation and install/update the appropriate NuGet packages for SpAgent.
SpAgent Runtime
- Cloud.Azure Storage Configuration NuGet Package: - Support has been added via a new Cloud.Azure Configuration NuGet package for licensing of applications intended to be deployed in Azure or Azure Stack. With this storage configuration licenses are stored in an Azure blob container accessible to the licensed application. See the following README for more details on this storage configuration - Cloud.Azure Configuration README. (This NuGet package was released in preview in 3.2.2001 on 17 May 2017.) You will need to update your permutation to avail of this new feature.
Software Potential Service
- Metadata Extension Custom Tags: - It is now possible to add Custom Tags with the 'ME:' prefix to a license when issuing/reissuing a license. These Metadata Extension tags will be displayed as columns in the Manage Assignments and Assign License pages within the Software Potential Portal AND in the License page in the Customer Portal. For example, if a Custom Tag named "ME:System Name" is added to a license, a new column named "System Name" will be displayed in the above pagegs/tables in the Software Potential Portal and the Customer Portal
- Additional Event Notifications with WebHooks: - With this release you can register a WebHook with Software Potential to receive notifications of License Update, License Assign, License Unassign, License Activate and License Deactivate events. When a license is Updated, Assigned, Unassigned, Activated or Deactivated the Software Potential service will send a notification to all WebHooks registered for the corresponding event. Please see Getting Started with WebHook Notifications for more details.
- IssueDate added to LicenseInfo in WCF Web Services: - The LicenseInfo object returned by calls to the WCF-based LicenseManagementWS service now includes the IssueDate of the license.
