To avail of the SpAgent runtime updates and fixes included in this release you will need to update your current permutation and install the required NuGet packages in your solution.
SpAgent
With .NET 4.6.2 now in LTS as of Aug 22, as communicated to customers we have decided to discontinue support in SpAgent for 4.6.1 and older versions of .NET framework. As of the 4.1.2070 release of SpAgent these older .NET framework versions will no longer be supported.
This means that if you upgrade your permutation to 4.1.2070, the 4.1.2070 SpAgent assemblies in the NuGet packages cannot be used to protect/license applications that target these older .NET versions.
If you wish, you can continue to use your existing SpAgent NuGet packages to license/protect applications that target the older .NET versions. These older NuGet packages will continue to be available in your Software Potential NuGet feed after SpAgent v4.1.2070 is released. However, to avail of future fixes and enhancements you will need to upgrade to 4.1.2070 or later.
Fixes
It is possible to reissue an evaluation license as a Commercial license. Prior to this released, when the user attempted to reactivate the license the commercial license was correctly installed in place of the evaluation one but a misleading LicenseNotFound exception was thrown during the activation. This issue has now been fixed in 4.1.2070.
