Having updated your permutation to a newer version, you may wish to revert to a previous version of Code Protector and Permutation. For example the new verions of the runtime may be an incompatible with your application.
If you are using the legacy SLP Runtime (aka Microsoft.Licensing Runtime) the situation is less straight forward. Once a permutation is updated to a newer version, the previous version can no longer be retrieved. Therefore, before you update your permutation make sure you take a copy of BOTH the current Code Protector msi and associated Permutation file.
When using the SLP runtime, we recommend you keep a copy of each version of both the Permutation file and the associated Code Protector msi file that you have downloaded over time. That way you can revert to an older version whenever necessary. To do this first uninstall the current Code Protector, then install the old Code Protector, and then install old Permutation file in the old Code Protector.
