There must be at least one user that can manage users in Software Potential vendor account. This user administrator must be assigned the Manage User permission - see User Management Permissions.
Initial Administrator
An initial super-user is created automatically when a new vendor account is created in Software Potential. This initial user is assigned ALL permissions by default, including the permissions required to manage users.
For small organizations this ensures that only a single user is required to carry out all license management actions in Software Potential. However, this may not be appropriate in larger organizations it may be more appropriate to reassign some or all of the permissions assigned to the initial administrator to other users.
User Administrators
Following the principle of least privileges, an organizations may wish to create one or more administrators that can only manage users. Such an administrator should be assigned only the Manage User permission.
Change User Administrator
To change user administrator, the original administrator must assign Manage User permission to another user. That user can then remove the Manage User permission from the original administrator, or delete the original administrator if appropriate.
