Add a new Version to an Existing Product

You can add a new version to an existing Product at any stage. This is typically done when features are added to, or removed from a previous version of the product

It is important to remember that each product version is uniquely identified by a combination of Name and Version. and that licenses are issued at Product Version level. This means a license issued for one version of a product will not be valid with a different version of the same product.

Each Product Version can have associated:

• Features
• Feature Sets

Add New Product Version

To add a new Version to an existing Product:

1. Select Define and then Create Product in the main navigation bar to display the Create Product form.
   
   
   
   
2. Enter a Name of an existing product and a new Version (both mandatory), together with an optional Description, for the new Product Version.
   
   
   You must enter the exact name of the existing Product. Otherwise a a completely new Product is created.
   
   If you wish to copy features forward from a pre-existing Product Version, you can select this Product Version in the drop down list in Copy Product Features field.
   
   Click Save to save the new Product Version definition
   
   
   
   
3. You can now see the new product version in the list of products:
